The Korneyev house on Kudrinskaya-Sadovaya street, in the Kudrino district of Moscow, was the address of the apartment Chekhov and his family moved into that autumn -- the same lodging (650 roubles a year) he describes finding in the earlier letter of 20 August 1886.
