Rybchinskaya, an actress at Korsh's theater, originated the female lead (Popova) opposite Solovtsov in the first performances of "The Bear." She is a different actress from Glama (Glama-Meshcherskaya), who takes over the same role in \S5 after Rybchinskaya is sidelined by the coffeepot accident -- the two must not be conflated; the letter itself distinguishes them by tracking Rybchinskaya's injury and recovery separately from Glama's one substitute performance and subsequent departure for Petersburg.
