Auntie (Tyotka, Suvorin's dog)
Auntie
also: Тетка, Tyotka
A real dog kept by the Suvorin household in Petersburg in 1888, mentioned alongside Fyodor Timofeich and Ivan Ivanych during Chekhov's March 1888 stay. Shares its name ("Auntie"/Тетка) with the renamed identity of the fictional dog protagonist of Chekhov's "Kashtanka", a coincidence of naming rather than the same animal.
