An unidentified household member or servant staying at the Firgang house in Moscow alongside the Chekhovs' aunt in May 1891, entrusted here with carrying Chekhov's letter (containing the detailed route to the Aleksin dacha) to his brother Ivan, and named as the channel for any further updates; not otherwise identified in this letter, and distinct from the unrelated, differently-contexted (an 1887 young relation) and from Alexei Nikolayevich Pleshcheyev.
